Get your passes ready, get set … go! One of the most famous, most notorious, and most coveted racing bike races in Europe, the Ötztal bicycle marathon, has been taking place here since 1980. Of course you can also ride and enjoy the route or parts of it aside from the big event.
WIDI the mountain sheep

Widi, our brave mountain sheep, provides fun and adventure for the whole family. In Hochötz, you can explore Widiverse, where you can solve exciting puzzles to save the world of our little mountain sheep. In Widi’s movie shuttle you will embark on a very unique, fast-paced 5D adventure.
For little explorers, Widi offers three different themed trails to explore the pristine nature of the Ötztal valley as a family. For example, “Glück auf” (a traditional miners’ greeting) tells the story of the old miners. Do you want to find out what is inside the tunnels and caves? Did you always wonder how crystals are formed and how a rope hoist actually works? All these questions are answered on this exciting themed trail.
On the circular trail toward “Rotes Wandl” you will encounter our local wild animals. The route is packed with exciting information about the animals, helping children to learn more about their way of life and significance for the ecosystem.
